Lockdown.co.uk - The Home Computer Security Centre

LockDown is the source for security information and resources for the home computer user.

About LockDown.co.uk

A look into what drives the site.

Begun on May 15th 1999, LockDown the Home Computer Security Centre is a long term project to provide FREE computer security information to the online community. The aim is to collate and distribute information that will enable home computer users to secure their computers and the data stored on them. There are already a number of resources geared towards the protection of business users but I believe a site totally dedicated to the security requirements of the individual at home is still badly needed.

If you're interested in security and think you can help with this site in any way or provide links/information for the site please email our webmaster.

We are sorry that we do not currently have the resources to help with your own security problems for free, but if you'd like to consider hiring us use the email address above and provide some details.

Many many people have contacted me with ideas and suggestions, and most have been implemented. I'd like to mention a few people whose critical comments and suggestions have improved the site content and style significantly.

Thanks to everybody who has helped in any way with the making of this web site. Whatever your input has been I've appreciated it tremendously.
